CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please hand wash this item to a- protect your washing machine from the O rings and b) protect the elastics from getting damaged.
If you must wash the item in the machine pop it in a lingerie bag, or a pillow case at 30˚ with mild detergent and air dry where possible. Iron medium-hot on the reverse side. Instructions on how to hand wash your el bras please see here.
SUSTAINABILITY PLEDGE
All our trimmings and elastics are sourced in the UK. This means less shipping fuel costs for our planet earth.
A lot of our trims come from a lingerie manufacturing warehouse that closed down - so dead stock through and through.
We are currently using an Eco-modal knit fabric which is made from dissolving wood pulp in a multi staged chemical process.
Modal fabrics are made from natural fibres and are completely biodegradable which means they are considered a sustainable product but you have to be careful: sometimes the wood fibres are not sourced responsibly or the chemical systems that are used to break them down are not done in a sustainable way.
The modal knit fabric we use, however, is made in Austria at a company who have led this technology. They have a cO2 neutral system that involves a closed loop system. As an alternative to cotton, wood based fibres are seen to have a significantly lower impact on the environment as they do not require intensive watering or the use of pesticides.

This is at a 20% surcharge fee and if we have to get another fabric then that will be added onto the bill also.
